We made it. Season two is here and honestly, after a winter of building, planning, fixing things that broke, and fixing things we broke while fixing other things, we are very ready to have people back on this field.

2025 was the year we found our feet. 2026 is the year we lace up properly.

Here's what's new.

Rusty's Canvas Camp

This is our 6-metre bell tent and it is a beauty. Mats on the floor, bunting on the outside, fairy lights strung up inside. It's for people who want the full bell tent experience without the full bell tent price tag, and without having to own a bell tent. Bring your own camping gear, your sleeping bags, your pillows, your people. We've done the pretty bits. You do the rest.

All the canvas magic, none of the faff of putting it up yourself.

Rusty's Ready Tent

For families who want to camp but don't want to spend the first two hours of their holiday fighting with poles in a field while the kids watch.

The Ready Tent is a proper family tunnel tent, already up, already kitted out with everything you need. Camp beds, air bed, table, chairs, plates, cutlery, cooking equipment. Literally everything. You just bring bedding, food and clothes. Turn up, unload the car and you're camping. That's it. Smart camping, we're calling it. Because well it is.

The Honesty Hut

You know that moment when you're at the campsite and you've forgotten something crucial? The firelighters. The washing up liquid. The thing you were absolutely certain you'd packed.

The Honesty Hut is a small shed full of the important bits. The things people forget. Help yourself, pay by QR code, no drama. We trust you. So far, so good. Yes, it's even got little lights!

Firepit Hire and Logs

Firepits available to hire on site, with logs for sale. Because an evening on a campsite without a fire is just sitting in a field in the dark, and we're better than that.

Book a firepit when you book your pitch or just grab one when you arrive if there's one free.

Two New Water Points

We heard you. Two new water points added across the site so you're never more than a reasonable walk from a refill. Small thing, big difference.

The Bike Rack Planters

Cyclists, this one's for you. We've installed proper bike lock points on site, housed in the most pleasing bike rack planters you've ever seen. Old drums, new job, very happy flowers on top. Bring your own lock and your bike is sorted for the night.

Coming Soon. The Micro Cabin

We're not quite ready to unveil this one yet but it's happening. A small wooden cabin for people who want to be off the ground without bringing a tent. Just enough room for a roll mat and a sleeping bag, pallet furniture outside and its own bike rack. Think of it as a bothy with better neighbours and a nicer view.

WhatsApp us to be the first to know when it opens.

And the Rest

New activity sheets for kids. The Toy Box, a box of outdoor toys to borrow because children need to run around and we have three acres for exactly that purpose. The field is mown. The sunsets are still showing off. The Drop Stop is operational. The sheep are somewhere else.

Oh, and pitches are still £15 a night. For the Isle of Wight in summer, that's not a typo. Bargain doesn't cover it really, whether you're visiting from the mainland or having the best staycation of your life ten minutes from home.

We're open. Come and find us.

Book at rustymeadow.co.uk or just turn up on an open date and pay on arrival.
