Take a video tour!
Recently our little cabin was occupied by one of our toughest critics. Did it pass? Take this short tour all around the cabin and find out!
Tiny, quirky and quite possibly the cutest place to sleep on the Isle of Wight.
Rusty’s Micro Cabin is our answer to simple, affordable camping for cyclists, walkers, solo adventurers, friends and couples who want to travel light. You get all the freedom of camping, but you can leave the tent at home.
Tucked away in the meadow at our small campsite in Godshill, Isle of Wight, this tiny wooden hideaway gives you four walls, a roof and a dry, lockable place to sleep after a day exploring the Island.
And when we say micro, we mean it.
At 1.3m wide x 2.10m long x 1.45m high, Rusty’s Micro Cabin isn’t somewhere you’ll be standing up and wandering around. Think of it as a wooden tent. There’s plenty of room to sit, crouch and settle in, and the sleeping space comfortably fits two standard camping mats side by side.
Bring your sleeping bags, roll out your mats and you’re done.
Made for walkers, cyclists and those travelling light
Cycling around the Isle of Wight? Walking the Island’s trails? Travelling solo and really don’t fancy carrying and pitching a tent for one night? A cute, fun overnight with a friend or partner?
This is exactly what we built it for.
You’ll have a secure locking point for up to two bikes right beside the cabin, solar lighting outside, a lantern inside and plenty of hooks for backpacks, coats and kit.
And because apparently a Micro Cabin needs Micro Furniture, Rusty’s even has its own tiny rustic pallet table and chairs outside.
Completely unnecessary. Completely adorable. We love it.
Bring your sleeping bag. We’ll provide the roof.
Rusty’s Micro Cabin is deliberately simple. There’s no bed, mattress or bedding provided. Bring your own sleeping bag and camping mat, just as you would if you were camping, only without the tent.
There’s no electricity inside and no unnecessary stuff taking up valuable space. You’ll have access to Rusty Meadow’s campsite facilities, and when morning comes, simply roll everything up and head off on your next adventure.
It’s perfect for cyclists looking for simple overnight accommodation on the Isle of Wight, walkers exploring the Island, solo campers who want somewhere secure to sleep, friends travelling together and couples who fancy trying something completely different.
Rusty’s Micro Cabin sleeps a maximum of two people.
Sorry, four-legged adventurers. No dogs in the Micro Cabin.
