Bell Tent Camping in Rusty’s Canvas Camp

Rusty’s Canvas Camp is all about classic bell tent camping, done simply and done well. New for 2026, it offers the space, charm, and atmosphere of canvas living for families and small (well behaved!) groups who love bringing their own kit and settling into camp life properly.

Our bell tent sleeps up to six people and is provided empty, giving you the freedom to camp your way. Bring your own bedding, cooking gear, and personal touches, set up together, and make the space your own for the duration of your stay. It is proper camping, unhurried and back to basics, with plenty of room to relax.

Rusty’s Canvas Camp sits within our family focused campsite, where the emphasis is on connection, fresh air, and respectful shared spaces. It is ideal for families, friends, and relaxed groups who value calm evenings, conversation, and time outdoors.

What is included in Rusty’s Canvas Camp?
Rusty’s Canvas Camp provides an empty bell tent only. You will need to bring all of your own camping equipment, including bedding, cooking gear, and personal items.

How many people can stay in the bell tent?
Our bell tent sleeps up to six people. Families and small (non party!) groups are welcome. Sorry no dogs are allowed in Rusty's Canvas Camp.

Are groups allowed in Rusty's Canvas Camp?​

We welcome small, well-behaved groups of up to 6 people who are looking for a relaxed, family-friendly camping experience.

Rusty Meadow is a peaceful pop-up campsite focused on simple outdoor adventures, nature, sunsets and slowing down.

 

Because of this, we are best suited to:
• Families holidaying together
• Friends with children
• Walking and cycling groups
• Quiet catch-ups around a firepit (You can hire on site for £5 per night)

We are not a party campsite and we ask all guests to respect our quiet family atmosphere, especially in the evenings. Quiet time is from 10pm to 8am.

Are hen parties or stag parties allowed?
No. Rusty Meadow is a family campsite and does not allow hen parties, stag parties, or loud group gatherings.

What is the atmosphere like in the evenings?
Evenings are calm and relaxed. Think shared meals, quiet chats, stargazing, and winding down after a day outdoors, with consideration for other campers. We have a Quiet Time from 10pm - 8am

Is this suitable for experienced campers?
Yes. Rusty’s Canvas Camp is ideal for those who enjoy traditional camping and want the space and feel of a bell tent without a serviced or glamping setup​
