Welcome to Rusty’s Retreat, our beautiful 6m luxury bell tent at Rusty Meadow, and quite possibly the easiest way to enjoy camping on the Isle of Wight without any of the hard work. This is glamping done properly. No packing stress, no tent wrestling, no airbeds. Just arrive, drop your bags, and sink straight into meadow life.
If you love the idea of a countryside escape, sleeping under canvas, and reconnecting with nature, but would rather skip the faff, Rusty’s Retreat is your perfect middle ground. Thoughtfully styled, cosy, and full of charm, it gives you all the magic of camping with the comfort of a boutique stay.
Rusty Meadow has had a little glow up for 2026, and Rusty’s Retreat remains one of our most loved stays. Inside the tent you will find a proper super king size bed with quality bedding, soft rugs underfoot, snuggly armchairs, twinkly fairy lights, bedside lamps, and plenty of blankets for cooler evenings. There is also a tea and coffee station and a few extra thoughtful touches that make your stay feel relaxed and special from the moment you arrive.
Step outside and you have your own private space to enjoy. A picnic bench for lazy breakfasts, a firepit ready for evenings under the stars, and free firewood included for marshmallow toasting and storytelling. As the sun sets, the meadow quietens, the fairy lights glow, and the night sky takes over. With virtually no light pollution, star gazing here really is something special.
As part of our eco friendly pop up campsite, guests staying in Rusty’s Retreat have access to our composting toilets, rustic washing up area, and USB charging hut for small devices. We do not have showers on site, and that is very much part of the experience. Slowing down, switching off, and embracing simple living, even if just for a night or two.
Rusty’s Retreat is an adults only glamping escape designed for two people, making it ideal for couples, friends, or anyone craving a peaceful reset. Dogs are very welcome elsewhere on the campsite, but the bell tent itself is a dog free zone.
For 2026, stays at Rusty’s Retreat are £80 per night, with a minimum two night stay. For a fully equipped luxury bell tent on the Isle of Wight, in a peaceful meadow setting, it really is a bit of a steal. Availability is limited and demand is high, so booking ahead is strongly recommended.

Just a short stroll from our meadow is the village of Godshill with it's quaint shops, pubs and tea gardens along with the famous Model Village and other fun things to explore!
Just one minute from our gate you will be straight onto bridle ways and footpaths that can take you on some gorgeous walks. Our favourite is up to the Worsley Monument where you can (on a clear day!) see the full east to west of the island.
